Noel and Sue Radford, parents of Britain's largest family, have been fined for taking four of their children out of school for a £52,000 trip to Disney World in Florida. The couple, from Morecambe, Lancashire, were found guilty at Preston Magistrates Court of failing to ensure regular school attendance between March 24 and May 1, 2025.
Each parent was fined £65 per child, plus £118 court costs, adding £756 to the cost of the holiday. The trip was to celebrate Sue's 50th birthday in April 2025, despite the family previously expressing financial strain.
The Radfords, stars of Channel 5's 22 Kids and Counting, shared photos from the trip on Instagram, including a family picture with Donald Duck. The holiday included flights, accommodation, and park passes for their children and 11 grandchildren.
The couple faced criticism for leaving behind their daughter Chloe, 29, who was due to give birth to her second child. Additionally, 24-year-old Millie Radford and her two children were delayed at the airport due to expired ESTA certificates, but Noel stayed behind to help and they joined the family the next day.
Sue turned 50 on March 22, 2025, joking she was '49 plus one'. The family returned to Florida again in June for another break. The Radfords also run Radford's Pie Company and feature in the Channel 5 series.
