Teenager Stabbed Near Bury School, Four Arrested

A 19-year-old man was stabbed on Cecil Street in Bury last night, prompting a police cordon and the closure of a nearby primary school. Greater Manchester Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the incident.

The stabbing occurred on Tuesday night, with officers remaining at the scene on Wednesday morning. A cordon was set up near Holy Trinity Primary School, which remained closed for the day. Parents were advised not to bring their children to the school.

Police have confirmed that the incident is not connected to either Holy Trinity Primary School or St Marie's RC Primary School, both located on Cecil Street. Forensics officers were seen collecting evidence at the scene.

The cordon affected Cecil Street, which runs behind Bury Market car park between Lord Street and Bury College University Centre. The four arrested individuals are currently in custody being questioned.
