Laurence Fox Claims School Vaccinated Son Without Consent

Laurence Fox has said he may remove his children from school over fears they could be vaccinated against Covid-19 without his consent. The actor, known for playing Sergeant Hathaway in ITV's Lewis, has two sons with his former wife, Billie Piper.

Fox, 43, said he would educate his children at home rather than allow them to be jabbed. 'Every parent who loves their children should resist this insanity,' he told the Daily Mail. 'I will not be sending my kids back to school. I will educate my kids at home from now on.'

The actor was reacting to reports that the NHS had drawn up plans to start vaccinating 12-year-olds from the first week of the new school term, with health officials quoted as saying children would not need parental consent. Vaccines are currently offered to those aged 16 and 17.

Fox said he wanted a 'cast-iron guarantee' that his children would not be vaccinated without the consent of both parents. He added that he fully supported vaccination for vulnerable children with informed parental consent.

A Department of Health spokesman said no decisions had been made on vaccinating 12 to 15-year-olds and that ministers had not yet received further advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.
