Council's Go Fresh Club Launches World Cup Menu for Schools

South Lanarkshire Council's Go Fresh Club is excited to kick off the start of the World Cup with a special celebration in schools on Thursday, June 11. To mark the occasion, they will be serving up a fun, themed menu for everyone to enjoy.

Please check with your school or nursery to see if they will be taking part in the celebrations on the day.

Themed Menu Options

The blue meal will feature Chicken 'football' poppers served with tomato pasta, providing protein and carbohydrates to build muscle and give you energy. The red meal will be Cheese and bean 'half time' pastry with potato croquettes (vegetarian), offering calcium and fibre for strong legs and recovery. The green meal will be Ham 'header' finger roll, packed with carbohydrates and protein to fuel your body.

All meals will be served with 'Players' peas', which help with inflammation. The 'Hydration station' will offer 'Pass' the ice lolly, and cheese and tuna sandwiches will be available on orange or yellow trays. A side 'tackle' salad and fresh fruit 'final' will also be available.
