Hundreds of thousands of students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will receive their A-Level, BTec and T-level results this morning.
Most schools and colleges are set to open their doors at 8am on Thursday, August 13 for students to pick up their physical results slips, however students may already be able to view their university application status via an online portal prior to this.
Record University Applications
It is expected that a record number of students will find out if they have secured their first choice of university this year as by the end of June around 41% of UK 18-year-olds had applied to university.
As the results come in and the cost of universities has been in the spotlight, the chief of Universities UK, which represents more than 140 vice-chancellors, urged pupils to not "let politicians make your decision for you".
Top Grades at Record High
Last year, the proportion of students getting top A-level results reached a record high, with schools likely facing pressure to continue to produce these outcomes.
In 2025 28.3% of all grades across England, Wales and Northern Ireland came in at A* or A.
