Kilmarnock Teacher Retires After 25 Years of Service

Angela Taylor, a beloved primary teacher in Kilmarnock, has retired after 25 years of dedicated service across East Ayrshire. Her career spanned four schools, culminating at St Andrew's Primary, where a celebratory assembly was held in her honor before the summer break.

Career Journey Across East Ayrshire

Angela began her teaching career at St Sophia's in 2001. She later moved to St Columba's and then St Matthew's Primary before joining St Andrew's Primary when it opened in 2008. She remained at St Andrew's until her retirement.

Impact Beyond the Classroom

Known for her tireless work, Angela's passion for dance led her to organize numerous after-school clubs. She also played a leading role in school shows, including DanceFest performances. Head teacher Elizabeth Hastings praised her, stating: "She has worked tirelessly for the benefit of the young people she has taught, not only in the classroom but used her passion for dance to take many groups of children for after school clubs, DanceFest and school shows."
