Khyon Smith-Tate, aged 16, was found with gunshot wounds in the lavatory of a Chipotle outlet situated close to Temple University in North Philadelphia. The grim discovery was made by restaurant employees on Monday evening.
Authorities have revealed that Smith-Tate was in the company of three other teenagers shortly before the shooting. He and another minor had requested the keys to the bathroom from staff. The precise motive for the violent attack remains unclear at this early stage of the investigation.
