A community in Perthshire is in mourning today after a 17-year-old male tragically lost his life in a horrific crash involving a stolen vehicle.
The incident occurred on the B9132, near the historic town of Scone, in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Emergency services, including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue, rushed to the scene following reports of a serious single-vehicle collision.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the teenage driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed that the grey Volkswagen Polo involved in the crash had been reported stolen.

Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation to piece together the final moments leading up to the tragedy. The road was closed for several hours as forensic collision investigators meticulously examined the area for evidence.
Sergeant Andrew Thomson of Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit addressed the media, stating, "Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the young man who has died at this difficult time.
