Teenage Boy Critically Injured in Sheffield Shooting

A 16-year-old boy is in a life-threatening condition in hospital following a shooting incident in Sheffield. South Yorkshire Police were called to London Road at approximately 5:17pm on Monday, 24 November 2025, after receiving reports of gunfire.

Police Investigation and Appeal for Information

Upon arrival, officers discovered the teenage victim with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Knight is leading the investigation and has condemned the attack. "This is a terrible incident that has left a boy fighting for his life and I know those in our community will be deeply concerned," she stated.

A dedicated team of officers is working to establish the circumstances and trace those responsible. London Road remains closed from the junction at Sitwell Place to the junction at Crowther Place as forensic examinations continue, with disruptions expected into Tuesday morning.

Community Urged to Assist Police

DCI Knight has made a direct appeal to the public for assistance. "I want to assure residents that a dedicated team of officers and staff are working tirelessly... We need you to work with us and provide any information you have. This is not acceptable on our streets, so we must work together to stop it."
