Teenager Accused of Mother's Fatal Stabbing

A 17-year-old boy from New Jersey is facing a murder charge following the tragic death of his mother, who was found stabbed at their family home.

The incident occurred on Saturday, November 21, 2025, at a property in Mays Landing. Police and first responders discovered 49-year-old Julissa Serrano with multiple stab wounds.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Emergency services rushed the victim to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment. Despite their efforts, Julissa Serrano succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The teenage suspect, whose identity remains confidential under New Jersey law, was arrested on the same day. He is currently being held at the Harborfields Atlantic Youth Center while awaiting his initial court appearance.
