Flight Attendant Warns Against Wearing Shorts on Planes
Flight Attendant: Never Wear Shorts on a Plane

A flight attendant has sparked a heated debate after revealing why she would never wear shorts on a plane. In a social media post, the cabin crew member explained that aircraft seats are not as clean as passengers might expect, despite regular cleaning between flights.

Unsanitary Conditions on Flights

The flight attendant shared her advice on social media, stating: "Since everyone gets fuming mad at me when I say, don't wear shorts when you travel... coming from a flight attendant." She then described what she witnessed during just one shift: "Guess how many diapers got changed on the seats yesterday on my one flight. Guess how many? Four."

According to the flight attendant, every one of the nappies she saw being changed that day was soiled. She added: "Guess how many of those diapers were poopy? All four. They change them on the seat." She warned passengers: "And you wanna rub your skin on there. You do. You're dying to enjoy your staph infection. Just don't say I didn't warn you."

Passengers React

The comments quickly sparked debate online, with many travellers admitting they had never considered what might have happened on their seat before boarding. One user said: "I will never wear shorts and I will never wear flared pants… that’s not water on the bathroom floor." Another added: "And the real issue is all airlines not having a proper place for parents to change their baby!"

A third user commented: "I've had people change them on the tray table and acted shocked when I told them to not do that and gave them wipes to clean it up." One more user said: "I never thought of wearing shorts. But I'll definitely wipe my seat with Lysol now."
