A dad-to-be is seeking advice after his pregnant wife refused to budge on her preferred name for their baby daughter, fearing it will ruin the child's life. The couple initially agreed on the name Alexandra, but the mother wants to make it more unique by altering the spelling to Alexzandra. The father, however, believes this is a serious error of judgment and has taken to social media for guidance.

In a post on Reddit, the expectant father wrote: "My wife wants to name our daughter Alexzandra. I prefer the classic version, Alexandra, but she wants the name to be unique. I think it's a little tacky." The post garnered mixed responses, with many urging the father to persuade his wife to reconsider the unconventional spelling for the sake of their daughter's future.
Public Reactions
One commenter said: "Oh my god, please don't do that to your daughter. Tacky and extremely annoying. Imagine how many times she'll have to say, 'No, Alexandra with a z, yes, in the middle'." Another added: "It is tacky. Don't do it. Your daughter will be unique because there is no other human to ever exist that is everything she is, not because of the spelling of her name."
