Teenager, 14, stabbed to death in Manchester after 'brief altercation'
Boy, 14, stabbed to death in Manchester street

A 14-year-old boy was fatally stabbed while on his way to a football game in a tragic incident that has shocked a Manchester community, a jury heard today.

The Fatal Altercation

Ibrahima Seck was allegedly attacked following a 'brief altercation' near a pub in New Moston, Manchester, on June 8. The court was told that the three defendants, two aged 14 and one who was 16 at the time, had been part of a group that had been threatening Ibrahima, his family, and his friends.

Prosecutor Jaime Hamilton KC stated this was the catalyst for the chase that led to the teenager's death. The altercation began with a fight between one of the defendants, referred to as Boy A, and another boy in Ibrahima's group.

The Chase and The Stabbing

After the initial fight subsided, the prosecution alleges that Boy B, then aged 16, handed a knife to Boy A after Boy A said words to the effect of 'Gimme the ting'. The trio then chased Ibrahima, who slipped and fell to the ground.

Mr Hamilton told the jury that Boy A 'is on him' in a matter of seconds, using the knife to stab Ibrahima in the heart in what the prosecution described as a 'deliberate act'. Witnesses described seeing Boy B hand over a flick knife before Boy A knelt over Ibrahima during the attack.

The Aftermath and The Trial

In a shocking turn of events, the jury heard that in the immediate aftermath, Boy A went to a house and filmed himself improvising a rap video. In the clip, which was played in court, he allegedly boasted 'We just done a murder' as Boy B sat nearby.

Two women are also on trial, accused of assisting the offenders by removing them from the area and providing them with a change of clothing. They both deny the charges.

All three boys have pleaded not guilty to murder. The trial continues at Manchester Crown Court. Due to the ages of the defendants, none of them can be legally identified.
