Kerry Adams, 49, from Staffordshire, has revealed how she got "petty revenge" on her ex with a series of "unhinged" acts after being dumped. Her world was shattered when her long-time partner ended their relationship, and although the pair tried to remain amicable while she found a new place to stay, that came to an abrupt end when he reportedly began dating someone new.
Heating left on at 28 degrees
Kerry decided to take action with an extreme level of pettiness. "I left the heating on all day, every day and night, set at 28 degrees because I knew I wouldn't be contributing to the next bill," she said. "It [the heat] was like being in Ibiza but worth it."
She also admitted to binning his designer underwear. "Another time, he asked if I would stick [his dirty underwear] in with the next load of laundry for him. [Instead], I stuck his Calvin Klein and Armani boxers in the bin."
Cupboard handles removed
During her final month living with her ex, Kerry carried out her last piece of revenge, which has been deemed the pettiest of all. The pair had agreed she could take anything she had paid for, so she removed all of the kitchen cupboard handles.
Kerry said: "He asked to buy back the cupboard handles but I said 'you told me to take anything I paid for and I paid for them'. It was mostly done on the spur of the moment because I was upset. Looking back now, I find the situation funny – but I certainly didn't at the time."
Her relationship ended earlier this year, and months later she opened up on Instagram about her actions. Many people shared their own confessions in response.

She said: "Now, I would thank him because I genuinely believe that my life is better without him in it. I enjoyed my best summer in a long time. I have started to see friends again and meet new people. It just makes me laugh when I think about it and I have received so much support on Instagram since I started sharing my life on there. So yes, petty – but therapeutic too."
