Woman's Body Found at Falls of Falloch Near Crianlarich

The body of a woman has been recovered from the Falls of Falloch, a popular beauty spot near Crianlarich in north Stirlingshire. Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to the site at about 10.45pm on Friday night following a report of a woman in difficulty in the water.

Emergency Response and Search

Emergency services attended and conducted extensive water searches at the location near Loch Lomond. Killin Fire Station confirmed that two appliances were mobilised, along with Oban and Stirling water rescue units. The search continued through Friday night and into Saturday morning.

Body Recovery

Police confirmed that a body was recovered at approximately 11.45am on Saturday. The woman's next of kin have been informed. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Her death is being treated as unexplained, but there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.”

Car Park Reopened

The nearby public car park at Falls of Falloch has been reopened to the public following the incident. The site is a well-known tourist destination, particularly popular for its scenic waterfall and walking trails.
