A woman was left feeling like she 'may throw up' after her new security camera caught a neighbor committing an unforgivable act in her garden. The incident, which involved the neighbor using the yard as a toilet, was not the only offense captured on the footage.
Security Camera Reveals Disturbing Behavior
The homeowner, who had installed the camera after years of convincing her spouse, reviewed the footage after finding Red Bull cans discarded in her children's play area. The camera showed a person walking up to a newly planted cherry tree, looking around, and then squatting as if to relieve themselves. Upon inspection, the woman found wet ground, confirming the act.
Additional Offenses
To make matters worse, the same individual then stood in front of the family's free little library, reading books and dropping trash across the sidewalk. The woman expressed outrage that the camera had not deterred such behavior, questioning what would prevent future incidents.
Community Reactions and Solutions
Commenters on the woman's Reddit post suggested various solutions. One popular idea was installing 'motion-activated sprinklers' to discourage trespassers. However, the original poster noted that the sprinklers would be near the free little library, which is frequently visited by children. One user suggested moving the library, while another proposed setting the sprinklers on a timer.
One commenter expressed disbelief at the neighbor's confidence, stating, 'Standing there reading books after peeing in your yard is such a bizarre level of confidence.' Another user shared a petty revenge tactic they had used: laminating a still from their security footage and taping it to their garage door after catching someone stealing flowers.
