Two teenage girls and a man were rushed to hospital after being injured in a large altercation involving 'many people' in West Lothian. The incident occurred shortly before 7pm on Saturday, June 20, on Deans South Road in Livingston, following the community Gala Day celebrations.

A significant police presence descended on the scene, with images showing the busy road cordoned off and emergency services on both sides. Police received a report of an altercation involving several people, which left a 15-year-old girl, a 16-year-old girl, and a 26-year-old man requiring hospital treatment.

Arrests and Charges

Three individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. A 47-year-old man and a 17-year-old male are due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, June 22. A 42-year-old woman was also arrested and charged but has been released pending a court appearance at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 6.55pm on Saturday, 20 June, police received a report of an altercation involving several people in Deans South Road, Livingston, resulting in two females aged 15 and 16 and a 26-year-old man being injured. Emergency services attended and they were taken to hospital. A 47-year-old man and a 17-year-old male were arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday, June 22. A 42-year-old woman was also arrested and charged, she has been released and will appear at court at a later date.'
