A former student has shared a story of taking revenge on a school bully, which ultimately led to the bully dropping out of school. The incident, which occurred about eight years ago, was recently posted on Reddit under the title: 'I got back at a bully who tormented me in elementary school.'
Background of the Bullying
The victim, who was in the 4th grade at the time, described being tormented by a boy one year older. The bully would call him 'weird and strange,' steal his belongings, and generally make his school life miserable. The victim held a grudge and eventually decided to take matters into his own hands rather than involving parents or teachers.
The Revenge Incident
One day during recess, the victim and seven other boys were play fighting on the grass. The bully joined in, and at one point slapped the victim on the neck, fueling his anger. When the group took a break, the bully was standing near a slope covered in dirt and rocks, looking at a girl he liked. The victim saw his chance.
'When I saw that, the first thing I did was wait for everyone who was playing to get to a separate place, and after that, I ran towards him and kicked him with both feet,' the victim wrote. 'I saw him rolling around and I went into the bathroom and pretended I was peeing, and I could just hear him yelling really angrily, looking for who it was.'
Aftermath and Bully's Departure
At the end of the school day, the victim saw the bully covered in dirt, with a bleeding face and torn clothes. The bully eventually dropped out of school, and to this day, he never discovered who kicked him. The victim described feeling a 'sense of justice done.'
Online Reactions
The Reddit post garnered comments supporting the victim's actions. One user said, 'Nice sweet revenge,' while another added, 'What goes around, comes around!'
