Two teens charged after boy, 16, stabbed on Breck Road

Two teenagers have been charged after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed near a pub on Breck Road in Liverpool. Police were called to the Lutine Bell pub at around 2.15pm on Wednesday, October 21, following reports that a teenager had been attacked nearby.

Charges and Court Appearance

A police spokesperson said this morning, Friday, October 23, that a 16-year-old boy from Liverpool, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place. A 15-year-old boy from Sefton, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent.

Both teenagers were remanded into custody to appear at Merseyside Youth Remand Court today. The ECHO understands that the victim is believed to have been stabbed and struck over the head with another weapon.

Police Investigation and Scene

A large police cordon was in place outside the pub on Wednesday afternoon, with a white tent erected within the taped-off area. Police confirmed the tent was in place because of the weather. A car covered with tarpaulin was also examined by forensic officers at the scene, with photographs showing police working on the vehicle on Breck Road.

A 37-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, who were both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been released on conditional bail as enquiries continue.
