Two men have been stabbed and a woman punched after they were targeted by a group in a Tesco car park in Billingham, County Durham. Emergency services were called to Leeholme Road at around 9:35pm on Monday, 28 July, after reports that a black Hyundai Tucson was attacked by a group of men on electric bikes and a quad bike.
Attack Details
The quad bike is understood to have driven at the Hyundai, causing damage, before the men dragged the occupants out and assaulted them. The woman driving the car was pulled out and punched in the face, while two men were forced from the rear of the vehicle and attacked. A fourth man in the passenger seat was not hurt.
Injuries and Aftermath
The two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds to the abdomen and sides, which are not believed to be life-threatening. A cordon was set up in the car park overnight but was removed by 7am on Tuesday, and the store opened as usual.
Cleveland Police said: "Detectives are currently investigating an incident in the car park of Tesco in Billingham, at around 9:35pm last night, Monday 28 July. It was reported that a black Hyundai Tuscan in the car park was targeted by a group of men on electric bikes and a quad bike. The quad drove at the Hyundai causing damage, before the men dragged people out of the car and assaulted them."
The force added: "The woman driving the Hyundai was dragged out and punched to the face, whilst two men were dragged from the rear of the vehicle and assaulted. The two men who were assaulted were taken to hospital with stab wounds to the abdomen and sides. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A fourth man in the passenger seat of the car was not hurt in the incident."

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage of the attack or the quad and e-bikes riding away to call 101, quoting reference SE26148971.
