Two people have died following a collision between a camper van and a lorry on the A358 near Taunton in Somerset. The two occupants of the camper van were pronounced dead at the scene.
Collision details
The crash took place at around 6.40am on Wednesday 30 September in Combe Florey, near Taunton. It involved a white Mazda Bongo van and a Volvo lorry.
Emergency services attended the scene, but the two people in the Mazda could not be saved. Their families have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Road closure and appeal
The A358 remains closed from the Bishops Lydeard junction at Station Road to Coggins Lane, Combe Florey while enquiries continue.
