Tributes from Family and Friends
In statements through two fundraisers, Mr Morgan's family said he 'truly lived life to the absolute fullest'. They added: 'He approached the world with open arms, a sense of adventure, and a heart larger than life. It was during one of these adventures, doing what he loved, that Daniel was involved in a tragic paragliding accident. It brings us some comfort that he was in the company of his friends at a location he loved, Rhossili Bay.'
They described him as a 'fiercely loyal, honest, and deeply caring brother, son, and friend'. The family is raising money for Wales Air Ambulance and the Coastguard as a thank you. They said: 'We want to extend our deepest gratitude to HM Coastguard. They were the ones who showed up for Daniel in his moment of need.'
A friend wrote: 'His presence in my life went beyond his place in the climbing community. He always had a place at my table, a hot cup of tea, and hours of conversation. From climbing to paragliding to base jumping, this outrageous, courageous man had a unique outlook on life. Dan was a key part of his communities and his mark will remain as long as we embrace his selflessness.'
