Ten fire engines are tackling a large blaze at a car repair garage with an adjoining two-storey property in Tranmere. Fire crews were called to the scene at 11.35pm on Friday evening.
Person and dogs rescued from property
One person was rescued from a first-floor bedroom window of the two-storey property. Two dogs have also been rescued from the building. The person is being assessed by paramedics.
Emergency services at the scene
Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service are also in attendance. Local residents have been warned to keep doors and windows closed. The fire is ongoing as crews continue to tackle the flames.
