Tiger attack victim was 'passionate about acting'

William Chapman, the man killed after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, was a former child actor whose mother described him as "passionate about acting and drama" in a 2014 blog post.

Chapman, reported by some media as aged 24, was named as the victim of the attack on Saturday, October 10. He had previously worked on shows for the BBC and ITV, according to the BBC.

Hollywood role with Hugh Jackman

His mother's blog post also revealed that Chapman worked as an extra in Pan, the Peter Pan story starring Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard. She recounted the experience on set.

"Once on set we were sheltering from the pirates under the ship's floorboards and we had to be terrified! Our chief gets shot by Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman), so remember to look out for that scene if you watch the movie," she wrote.

"After lunch we just did more tutoring then we went back on set for a retake of the earlier scene, but we were lucky enough to meet and say hi to Hugh Jackman! We gave him a high five, awesome right?"

Earlier acting roles

Chapman's mother also discussed his role as Alfie in ITV's 'May Contain Nuts', which starred Harry Potter actress Shirley Henderson. Chapman had also played Edward Jenner in a BBC show.
