Three individuals have been hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision in Moreton. The incident, which occurred on Fender Lane, involved a van and two motorbikes.
Crash Details
At approximately 8:15 AM on Wednesday, June 17, Merseyside Police received reports of the crash. The two motorcyclists, both men, and a woman who was driving the van sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Road Closure and Response
Fender Lane remains closed from Fendale Avenue to the roundabout at Hoylake Road/Bidston Link Road. Authorities advise drivers to avoid the area. Fire services were alerted at 8:16 AM and arrived within five minutes. Two fire engines and the search and rescue team collaborated with the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), Merseyside Police, and the Air Ambulance Service.
Upon arrival, crews found that most casualties were conscious and breathing and under the care of NWAS, except for the van driver. The van was on its side, so fire crews assisted NWAS paramedics in treating her and extricating her from the vehicle. An air ambulance landed at the scene. All three were then taken to hospital.
The incident caused congestion in the surrounding area as emergency services managed the scene.
