Three dead in Rotherham crash as police issue plea

A 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 21 and 23, have died in a single-car crash on a rural country lane in South Yorkshire.

Police were called to reports of a collision involving one car on Denaby Lane in Rotherham at 11.39pm on Saturday, August 8. The grey Seat Cupra Leon was travelling towards Kilnhurst before it left the carriageway, officers said.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Another teenage boy, aged 17, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

South Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage that could assist with their enquiries to come forward.
