Chaos has erupted in a UK market town as feral teenagers have been reportedly terrorising locals. Several reports of antisocial behaviour have emerged in a Tewkesbury neighbourhood, prompting police to appeal for information.
Incidents of Criminal Damage and Racial Abuse
Investigators stated that incidents involved criminal damage in the Priors Park area. The teenagers were also reported for racial abuse. This followed an event on June 10, when five teenage boys reportedly threw stones at the window of a property on York Road.
After the homeowner challenged the teens, they allegedly became racially abusive before throwing more stones.
Police Appeal for Information
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “It has also been reported that damage was caused at the local allotments with teens acting towards members of the public in an anti-social manner.”
They added: “These incidents involved a group of boys aged in their mid-teens who are believed to reside locally and officers are conducting enquiries to identify those responsible and take appropriate action to deal with these crimes.”
Increased Patrols and Public Appeal
The police confirmed that additional patrols are now taking place in the area. Residents with concerns have been encouraged to speak to the officers. The Tewkesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team has requested that the public provide any information that may help with the investigation.
Officers are especially keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the relevant area.
