Teen Stabbed in London, 17-Year-Old Arrested

A 15-year-old boy is in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed in broad daylight in London, police have confirmed. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Ilford, east London.

Emergency Response

The Metropolitan Police stated that officers and paramedics were dispatched to Ilford Lane at approximately 4:55 PM on June 13 following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found a 15-year-old boy with stab injuries. He received treatment at the scene before being rushed to a hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

Arrest Made

A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken into police custody, where he remains."

Road Closure

Ilford Lane was closed in both directions between A118 Winston Way and Grange Road for over 24 hours, reopening around 1 PM on Monday, according to traffic website Inrix.

Ambulance Service Statement

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called on Saturday, June 13, at 4:51 PM to reports of a stabbing in Ilford Lane, Ilford. We sent resources including ambulance crews, advanced paramedic practitioners, an incident response officer, and London’s air ambulance. We treated a teenager at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre."
