Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a London station. The incident occurred after she was followed from a bus and onto an Elizabeth line train.
What happened
The teenager boarded a bus towards Abbey Wood Underground station on Wednesday, July 8, at around 12.40pm. A man followed her onto the bus and looked at her throughout the journey. He then followed her off the bus and onto a train at Abbey Wood heading towards Tottenham Court Road.
Once at Tottenham Court Road, the girl left the train and was again followed by the man. He approached her and sexually assaulted her before walking off, police said.
Appeal for information
Detectives believe the man pictured may have information that could help their investigation. Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 119 of 9 July. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
