Teen motorcyclist dies in crash near Pennan; family pays tribute

The family of a 17-year-old who died in a motorcycle crash in Scotland have paid tribute to the "deeply loved" teenager.

Kayden Thompson was travelling on the B9031, Macduff to Fraserburgh road, when the crash happened near Pennan at around 5.30pm on Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family's tribute

Paying tribute, Kayden's family said: "We are devastated at the loss of our deeply loved son, brother, grandson and nephew, Kayden."

The statement, issued via Police Scotland, added: "He will be missed by all who knew him, especially family. Kayden, also known as Kayda and K: forever 17 and forever Dawn and Alan’s little boy."

Investigation underway

An investigation into the single-vehicle crash is underway.
