Teen Girl Raped in Grantham: Boy, 15, Arrested

Police are investigating an alleged rape in Grantham, Lincolnshire, after a teenage girl reported being attacked in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of rape and is currently in custody. The victim, aged 17, is receiving support from specially-trained officers.

The incident is said to have occurred at approximately 2:30am in the area of Earlesfield Lane and Thames Road. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

A Lincolnshire Police statement said: “A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with this incident and is currently in custody.

“Investigating officers have asked for witnesses and information in relation to this incident, and have updated contact details.

“They are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 0030 and 0300 and saw or heard anything.

“And if anyone has a property nearby that may have CCTV or footage of the area around the time, they are asked to get in touch.

“If so, or you have any information that can aid the investigation, please contact us.”
