A 17-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash on a remote Northumberland road. Emergency services were called to School Lane in Minsteracres shortly before 9pm on Wednesday, where a moped and a car had collided.
Crash details
A white moped had reportedly pulled out of a junction in front of a red Fiat Panda, and the two vehicles collided. A 16-year-old boy, who was driving the moped, and his pillion passenger, a 17-year-old boy, were taken to hospital.
The 17-year-old passenger is in a critical condition. The driver is also in hospital in a serious condition, but it is not believed to be life-threatening.
