A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Cheetham Hill, Manchester.
Incident details
Police were called to Spender Avenue at around 6.10pm on Monday, July 27, after reports of a stabbing. Paramedics treated a man in his 40s for suspected knife injuries, and he was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Charges and court appearance
The teenager has been charged with one count of attempted murder and possession of a knife blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place. He cannot be named for legal reasons and is due to appear at Manchester Youth Court today (August 10).
The victim is now stable in hospital, according to Greater Manchester Police.
