Police have arrested a suspect following an attack in Neston on Tuesday, June 9. Cheshire Police responded to reports of a man with a knife on Raby Park Road at approximately 7:15 pm.
Firearms officers quickly arrived at the scene and detained a 24-year-old local man on suspicion of threats to kill, possession of a bladed article, criminal damage, and assault. Initial inquiries revealed no evidence of injuries.
The following day, Wednesday, June 10, at around 11 am, police received a report that a man had been assaulted and sustained minor injuries to his hand and back, believed to have been caused by a knife.
The suspect has since been released on bail pending further investigations.
Detective Inspector Rupert Morrey stated: “I would like to reassure the local community that this appears to be an isolated incident, and enquiries remain ongoing.”
