Semi-professional footballer Connor Charlton has been jailed after being filmed driving at 191mph on a motorway.
Charlton, 32, who plays for Nostell Miners Welfare in the Northern Counties East League, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court to four years in prison. He was also banned from driving for four years and seven months.
Scam to avoid penalty points
The centre forward also took part in a scam in which other drivers were paid cash to accept penalty points for speeding offences.
After the case, the Crown Prosecution Service released video footage of Charlton drifting his powerful BMW at a roundabout. In the clip, tyres screech and he narrowly avoids colliding with a van.
Admissions and sentence
In another clip, a passenger filmed him driving at 191mph on a motorway in West Yorkshire.
Charlton, from Hunslet, Leeds, admitted 10 counts of dangerous driving and four offences of perverting the course of justice.
