Second victim named after 100ft Bradford car crash

A second man has died following a horror crash in Bradford where a car plunged 100ft. Imath Uddin Choudhury, 23, has been named in a JustGiving fundraiser launched in his memory.

Details of the crash

The incident occurred on Monday, June 22, at approximately 7.24pm. An Audi A3 convertible veered off Hawksworth Road in Baildon, near the junction with Potter Brow Road, and fell 100ft. A 20-year-old man died at the scene. Imath Uddin Choudhury sustained severe injuries and passed away on Wednesday, July 1, after spending just over a week in hospital.

Driver arrested

West Yorkshire Police confirmed that the 24-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. A 23-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.

Fundraiser launched

The Grains Of Hope Foundation set up a JustGiving page in memory of Imath Uddin Choudhury. As of Wednesday, the fundraiser had exceeded its £2,000 target. The foundation stated: "In memory of Imad, Grains of Hope Foundation is raising funds to support the most needy families in The Gambia and provide water pumps in Pakistan, helping those in need whilst creating a source of ongoing reward for him, by the will of Allah." They added: "May Allah forgive Imath Choudhury, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, widen and illuminate his grave, and make every donation a means of Sadaqah Jariyah for him. Ameen."
