Authorities have arrested a 57-year-old woman after construction workers unearthed 29 human fetuses during routine work at a private property in Lutoryż, Poland. The discovery, which occurred while workers were digging a driveway, has sparked a major investigation and shocked the nation.

The workers uncovered a significant amount of medical waste, including paraffin blocks and microscope slides, alongside human fetal remains. The suspect, identified as Magdalena H. from Zamość, was arrested on June 12 and faces charges of desecrating human remains and unlawfully disposing of hazardous materials. If convicted, she could face a prison sentence of two to 12 years.

Polish authorities confirmed that the recovered remains were those of human fetuses. Medical experts were dispatched to the scene to verify the findings. Investigators later determined that the property's current owners had purchased the plot from the suspect, a pathologist, who had bought the house about two years ago and sold it to a young couple six months prior.
