Pro-Palestine Demo at London Waterloo During Rush Hour

Pro-Palestine protesters staged a demonstration at London Waterloo station during evening rush hour on Thursday. Around a dozen demonstrators chanted 'Free, free Palestine' and 'Resistance is justified' inside the station as commuters made their way to trains.

A Palestinian flag was draped over the upper level near WHSmith, while one protester addressed the crowd through a megaphone. Protesters stood over a large banner displaying portraits that appear to be of members of the 'Filton 25', with a caption reading 'They are not terrorists'.

Who Are the Filton 25?

The 'Filton 25' are a group of pro-Palestine activists arrested following a break-in at an Elbit Systems facility in Filton, near Bristol, in August 2024. The site was a research, development and manufacturing hub for Elbit, an Israeli arms company. An estimated £1 million worth of damage was caused during the raid.
