Princess Anne 'Furious' Over Harry's Decision Not to Bring Kids to UK
Princess Anne 'Furious' Over Harry's UK Trip Without Kids

Prince Harry's decision to travel to the UK alone earlier this week has left one senior royal 'furious', according to reports. The Duke of Sussex arrived without his wife Meghan Markle or their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, missing an opportunity for King Charles to see his youngest grandchildren for the first time in years.

King Charles Denied Reunion With Grandchildren

The King, 77, has not seen Archie, now aged seven, or Lilibet, aged five, since 2022. Archie spent very little time with his paternal grandfather before the Sussexes moved to the US in 2020, while Lilibet, born in California, has only visited the UK once for the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. That visit marked the King's first in-person meeting with his youngest granddaughter, described as 'very emotional'.

Harry had initially planned to bring his family, but after being denied police protection, he decided to travel alone. However, the possibility of Meghan and the children joining him later remains uncertain.

Princess Anne's Fury

The decision not to bring the children reportedly infuriated Harry's aunt, Princess Anne. According to New Idea, a source said: 'Anne is livid and can’t bear to see the Royals be toyed with like this, not to mention the insult to their beloved country.'

Princess Anne, known for her no-nonsense attitude, was said to be upset that her brother Charles was left disappointed at being unable to see his grandchildren.

Meghan's Reluctance

Sources close to Harry and Meghan indicated that Meghan was reluctant to commit to the trip. 'Once this trip was locked in, Meghan didn’t publicly make clear what she was willing to commit to and whether she would even be bringing the kids back to the UK,' a source said.

The publication added that Meghan feared harsh treatment from the press and public, making her hesitant to agree to engagements or meetings with royals.

Harry's Invictus Games Appearance

Harry is set to appear at the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham on July 10. The visit has reignited speculation about the state of his relationships with the royal family and the ongoing security concerns that have kept his family away.
