Multiple people have been injured in a boat crash involving a police vessel on the River Thames in central London. Emergency services have swarmed Westminster Bridge, with responders from the RNLI seen treating casualties on a boat.
Emergency response underway
A large number of police officers, fire crews and ambulances are at the scene, and traffic across the bridge has come to a standstill.
A Port of London Authority spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident involving a police vessel at Westminster Bridge. We are supporting the response and providing assistance where needed, working closely with the Metropolitan Police, HM Coastguard and partner agencies to manage the situation."
