Woman Gets Petty Revenge After Poolside Table Stolen at Turkish Resort
Petty Revenge After Poolside Table Stolen in Turkey

A solo traveller enjoying a relaxing day by the pool at an all-inclusive resort in Turkey returned from a brief break to find another guest had taken over her table. Determined not to let it spoil her holiday, she devised a subtle act of petty revenge.

How the Dispute Unfolded

The holidaymaker had been at the same sunbed all morning, using the adjacent table for her Kindle and drink. She deliberately left space for others. However, when she went to the bathroom, a group arrived and a woman placed her handbag, three drinks, hair clips, and moisturiser on the table, moving the traveller's empty glass to the ground.

Upon returning, the traveller decided to go for lunch instead of confronting the woman. But when she came back, the woman had spread even more items across the table.

The Revenge

Seeking more sun, the traveller shifted her sunbed slightly, causing the woman's handbag to topple over and spill its contents. She politely said, 'Excuse me, your bag,' but the woman ignored her twice. The woman then gathered her items and placed the bag back on the table.

Later, the woman got up to move to a second sunbed she had reserved in the shade. The moment her handbag left the table, the traveller instantly put her own belongings back.

Reactions on Social Media

Commenting on the Reddit post, one user said: 'I never go to all-inclusives for many reasons, but the clientele is probably the biggest reason.' Another added: 'Is it common in Turkey to keep a sunbed for the day and leave multiple times, including to go to lunch, and expect nobody else to use it or its table?' A third remarked: 'You purposely didn't use the whole table, in case someone else came along and wanted to use it too. Someone came along and used it, and you got annoyed?'
