A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital following a crash in Oldham. Emergency services were called to Manchester Road, close to junction 22 of the M60 at Hollinwood, on the afternoon of August 4.

Collision details

Greater Manchester Police said it was called out to a collision involving a car and a motorbike. The male motorcyclist was taken to hospital by road ambulance.

An air ambulance was seen landing close to the scene as part of the response.

Traffic impact

The A62 is partially blocked, and traffic has built up while emergency services work at the scene. A lane has been closed on the exit slip road from junction 22 of the M60.

Heavy traffic has been reported on surrounding roads. Manchester Road is expected to fully reopen later this afternoon.

No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, according to GMP.
