A male driver is in hospital with life-changing injuries after a crash on Lightbowne Road in Moston, north Manchester.
Police were called to the scene last night (August 15) following reports of a collision.

Greater Manchester Police said the driver's injuries were described as 'life-changing' and he remains in hospital. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Pictures from the scene show a severely damaged car and a heavy emergency services presence on the street, close to FC United of Manchester's Broadhurst Park stadium. The road was taped off, with ambulance staff also in attendance.
