The search for missing pensioner Andrew Cochrane, last seen near a Greenock sports centre, has entered its fifth day. Police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging the public to check private CCTV and dash-cam footage for any clues.
Last Sighting and Description
Andrew Cochrane, 68, was last spotted on Bridgend Road at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, 25 June, close to the Lady Octavia Sports Centre. CCTV footage from earlier that morning shows him leaving a shop holding a receipt. He was wearing a blue North Face T-shirt and dark-coloured trousers. He is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build, with short grey hair.
Police have stated it is out of character for Cochrane not to be in contact with his family, raising concerns for his wellbeing.
Police Appeal
Inspector Paul Thompson said: “Concerns are increasing for Andrew’s welfare and it is important we make sure he is safe and well. It is out of character for Andrew not to be in touch with his family. Andrew was last seen near the sports centre and we are asking anyone living in the area to check any private CCTV they have to see if it captures anything that could help with our enquiries to find Andrew.”
He added: “If you were driving in that area of Greenock on the day Andrew was last seen please also check any dash-cam footage you have and get in touch if there is anything that could assist officers. Likewise, anyone who has seen Andrew or knows where he might be is asked to make contact with us.”
