Manhunt After Enfield Park Attack Breaks Man's Jaw

Police have launched a manhunt after a 62-year-old man was attacked by a stranger while sitting on a bench in Enfield Town Park, suffering a broken jaw. The assault occurred at 2pm on Friday, June 26, during a heatwave, according to the Metropolitan Police.

CCTV Appeal for Suspect

Officers have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. He is described as white, of tall build, with short black hair and facial hair, wearing a black t-shirt and blue shorts. Police believe he may have information crucial to the investigation.

Police Statement on Incident

Detective Inspector Allen Windsor, leading the investigation, said: “This was a highly alarming incident, which has left the victim and his family in distress. Despite the best efforts to identify the man, we are now appealing to the public for further information. Nobody should be attacked like this. We believe this to be an isolated incident and we remain committed to identifying and bringing the perpetrator to justice – can you help?”
