Two forensic tents were erected at opposite sides of the wall near the bus station at Piccadilly Gardens after a man was stabbed in a disturbance in the early hours of July 27.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to the scene at 12:38 am on July 27. Greater Manchester Police reported a disturbance at the location. A man in his 20s was found with injuries consistent with a stab wound.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, according to GMP. Large sections of pavement surrounding the two tents were taped off, but the cordon was lifted later that morning.
Police Investigation
No arrests have been made so far, and enquiries remain ongoing. A GMP spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a fight/disturbance at Piccadilly Gardens at around 12:38 am on July 27. Emergency services attended the scene and a male in his 20s was found with injuries consistent with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for injuries which do not appear to be life-threatening or life changing. Enquiries are ongoing."
