An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed in Failsworth. Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Hale Lane on Friday evening (June 20). A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.
The severity of his injuries has not been disclosed by the force. Two men, aged 19 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, the GMP spokesperson added.
Forensic Investigation Underway
This morning, a number of police vehicles were stationed on Hale Lane close to where the road merges into Moston Lane East. A crime scene investigation van was also pictured at the scene as forensic officers scoured the area for evidence.
Police Statement
In a statement, the GMP spokesperson said: "We are investigating an incident on Hale Lane, Failsworth, last night that resulted in a man needing hospital treatment for stab wounds. We have arrested two men, aged 46 and 19, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. We will provide further updates when we have them."
