A man has been taken to hospital following an assault in Urmston town centre this afternoon. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to Station Road at around 12:17pm on Sunday, June 7, 2026, after reports of an incident.
Victim Hospitalised as Precaution
The male victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital as a precautionary measure. Authorities have confirmed that no arrests have been made at this stage.
Road Closed and Police Presence
Parts of Station Road were cordoned off during the afternoon, with multiple police officers spotted at the scene. The road closure caused some disruption in the area.
A GMP spokesperson stated: "Officers were called to reports of an assault on Station Road in Urmston at around 12:17pm this afternoon (Sunday 7 June 2026). The male victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution. Work is ongoing to arrest people in relation to this incident."
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
