A man is in critical condition following a stabbing in Failsworth, Greater Manchester. Emergency services were called to Hale Lane on the evening of Friday, June 20, after reports of an assault.
Victim in Critical Condition
The victim sustained serious stab wounds and was rushed to hospital. As of Sunday morning, he remains in a critical condition, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
Two Arrests Made
Two men, aged 19 and 46, were later arrested in Moston on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Police were seen on Hale Lane, near the junction with Moston Lane East, on Saturday morning. A crime scene investigation van was also present as forensic officers examined the area for evidence.
A GMP spokesperson said on Saturday: "We are investigating an incident on Hale Lane, Failsworth, last night that resulted in a man needing hospital treatment for stab wounds. We have arrested two men, aged 46 and 19, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. We will provide further updates when we have them."
