A man has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault at Wigan bus station. Mitchell Plumbley, 20, of Wordsworth Avenue, Leigh, faces charges of indecent exposure and sexual assault.

Incident details

The charges follow an incident reported to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday, July 16. A woman was reported to have been the victim of a sexual assault at the bus interchange.

Court appearance

Plumbley has been bailed and is due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on October 7. In a social media post on August 5, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson confirmed the charges and bail conditions.
